From Idea to Reality: The Evolution of Kyegegwa At Heart Organization(KAHO)

 Kyegegwa at heart Organization-KAHO  was founded in 2017 by a team of Youths spearheaded by John Alinaitwe Kagaba and Kasiita Paul. Initially the organization was called Kyaka at heart  which later on changed its name to Kyegegwa at Heart-KAHO.

With developing technology, Members decided to create a WhatsApp group which brought more members on board. On the group members used the platform as a podium to share issues which affects Kyegegwa as a district,Tooro region and Uganda at the same time suggesting the possible ways. The team grown to ten members who paid membership and pays annual subscription fee which help running of activities.

All the necessary documents for registration where processed. Our organization vision is changing people's lives and mindset. The organization has carried out various Activities in the recent years which include;
1.Sensitization of community about the creation of more constituencies.
2. Held save Boda Boda lives dialogue.
3.Engaged heavily in Kings heroic welcome to Bucubya kyaka Kyegegwa.
4.Engaged in save Anamary Kebirungi campaign which saved her life. 
5. Creating Awareness in the community about different activities prevailing like Mass Rubella Immunization Campaign, Corruption, Anti Corona Virus campaign etc. 
6. Helping the needy. Etc Join us to create a positive change in our society.

AWARE of the failure of youths to attain formal education because of problems related to family backgrounds and those educated with no jobs.

NOTING that such young men and women are the ones commonly described as unprivileged or isolated youths.

HAVING REALISED THAT Those Youths in Kyegegwa face a number of problems peculiar to them

WHEREAS the government  has tried in affairs concerning youths coordination and resource mobilization at the national level, less concentration and help has been trickled down to the women and youths of Kyegegwa;

REALISING THAT poverty,discrimination, Gender based violence, unemployment, illiteracy,Corruption, incapacitation and several socio-economic issues hinder their efforts

NOTING THAT there is no substantive and operational association for those suffering young people in Kyegegwa District

CONVINCED THAT we as KAHO can better  address the plight of such young people by reducing unemployment and through empowering the youths who have  got little or no chance of formal education with basic technical/vocational skills, End corruption, End Gender based violence and discrimination , Promote unity and Social economic transformation as well as doing advocacy and civic Education as an organized group

SO We John Alinaitwe Kagaba and Kasiita Paul came up and started this organization and we were later joined by other Members. 
WE THEREFORE Thank our development partners and different stakeholders for their support and embracing our idea that Unites all BanyaKyaka Regardless of political affiliations, Tribal lines and Education.

Covid - 19, Kyegegwa At Heart activities on stand still.

As of Today Uganda registers 53 confirmed cases of COVID 19 a global pandemic disease spread by coronavirus. 

Following President Yoweri Museveni ban on public gatherings like churches, conferences and many other public events, Kyegegwa at Heart we had Kyaka people's Conference on 24th April 2020. The banning of public gatherings affected our organization activities as we found it very important to adhere to Presidential directives.

Meanwhile as churches closed, there a lot of different things surrounding this dangerous global pandemic disease which will henceforth after its disappearance.
